Not more than 3 classes can be missed. Assessment will be based on in-class performance and weekly small tests, out of which not more than 3 can be missed. In the calculation of the final mark, the 8 best results will be taken into account (out of a total of 11).

Reading: Balogné Bérces -- Szentgyörgyi (2006) Chapters 1--4, 11--12, and parts of Ch.5--7. Extra exercises (somewhat outdated format, may not run properly on your computer): "Highlights" here.
Requirements and assessment: active participation in class - not more than 1 class missed - written test in December (MuCh test + transcription from the Blacklist and the list of proper nouns -- see the Appendices).
